        This is a list of local residents which is not really a "Directory" as are the other lists in this section, but rather, this appears to be a list of "Personal Statistics" which were presented by the author in exchange for support in financing the work.  It is very like the directories in that it gives a brief description of the individuals occupation and where he lives, and how much land he owns, but it also adds biographical and genealogical information.  it also includes a number of people who were long dead by the time this was published, but who are clearly important people in the history of the community.
        I have made various modifications to the format for spelling, grammatical clarifications, and alphabetical order; have expanded various abbreviations such as b (born), s (settled), and the months of the year, and have standardized the state designations (NY, CT, MA, ...).  Otherwise I have not changed the content of the entries.
        I electronically scanned the very fine print of the original text and have made every effort to find the errors which can occur with such process, but some may still be present.  If there are any questions or if you find an error, please contact me for a review of the original text.

Allen, Charles E., PO Fenner, farmer, 120 acres, born Fenner, April 24, 1832; wife Mary E. Hyatt, born Fenner, January 3, 1835, married May 20, 1858; one child, J. Merton, born March 14, 1862; father, John M. Allen, born Otsego County, June 1, 1799, moved to Fenner in 1820, blacksmith.

Barrett, Garry F., PO Cazenovia, farmer and stock grower, 122 acres, born Smithfield, September 20, 1827; settled 1834; wife Calista E. Johnson, born Fabius, (Onondaga County,) September 13, 1843, married November 9, 1870; father, William P. Barrett, who settled in 1834.

Bowers, Daniel L., PO Nelson Flats, farmer and dairyman, 150 acres, born Addison Co., VT, September 15, 1824, settled 1834; has been assessor and highway commissioner; wife Mary Janette Card, born Nelson Oct 3, 1830, married January 9, 1850; 4 children, 3 living; son Vine Bowers born Cazenovia February 2, 1854, married Helen Hutchinson (born April 2, 1854) June 13, 1877.

Bumpus, Augustus H., PO Nelson Flats, farmer and hop grower, 145 acres, born Fenner; April 25, 1833; has been collector, constable and poormaster; wife Eliza M. Lumbard, born Fenner, August 27, 1842, married March 27, 1867; 3 children; father, James Bumpus, came from MA, settled in Nelson, 1798 removed to Fenner 1823.

Cody, Kendall, PO Cazenovia, farmer and speculator, 285 acres, born Vernon, Oneida County, April 27, 1850, settled 1873; wife Martha J. DeLand, born Clinton, Oneida County, married February 26, 1873; 2 children.

Covey, Silas H., laborer and surveyor, PO Mile Strip, 100 acres, born Half Moon, Saratoga County, February 16, 1809, settled about 1815; has been county superintendent of poor justice of peace and inspector of schools; wife Adelia Ann Cornell, married October 5, 1837; four children, one living.

Cushing, Fisher A., PO Cazenovia, farmer, 90 acres, born Fenner, April 27, 1827, has been justice of peace; wife Caroline H. Haight, born November 12, 1831, married February 18, 1852; 2 children; father, Hawks Cushing who settled in Fenner (then Smithfield) from Hingham, MA, in 1801; mother Clarinda Welch; grandfather Roswell Welch, who settled in Fenner about 1799.

D'Arcy, Patrick, PO Cazenovia, farmer, dairyman and fancy stock grower, 158 acres, born County Meath, Ireland, May 1807, settled 1847; wife Catharine Blake, born County Meath, Ireland, May 18, May 18, 1831; eight children, four living; sons George (highway commissioner, 1879), and Christopher, and daughters, Margaret and Mary, live on the homestead.  Resided in Cazenovia until 1887, then in Fenner.  Descendants of the D'Arcys of Castle Dunmow, Ireland.

Eastman, Neil, PO Peterboro, farmer, 148 acres, born Nelson, Madison County, February 4, 1836; wife, Elizabeth Palmer, born England, married August 19, 1879; three children.

Hamblin, Lucian D., PO Chittenango Falls, farmer, 80 acres, born Fenner, December 7, 1831; was assessor 1874-1877; wife Helen Putnam, born Cazenovia, December 26, 1899, married January 13, 1859; children 2; father, David Hamblin.

Hess, L'Vander C., PO Fenner, farmer and stock grower, 110 acres, born Fenner, September 25, 1819, has been supervisor.  Parents came from Albany County and settled in Fenner, formerly Smithfield, December 1814.

Hill, Norman B., PO Perryville, farmer, 63 acres, born Perryville, January 11, 1819 has been commissioner of highways, supervisor two terms and justice of peace; wife, Marv L. Keyes, born Manheim, Herkimer County, married February 7, 1860; children 3.

Hill, Stephen, PO Peterboro, farmer and speculator, 120 acres, born Lenox, Madison County, October 29, 1810; wife, Amarette J. Hess, born Fenner (formerly Smithfield,) married January 21, 1836; children 3.

Howard, Groton, PO Peterboro, farmer and hop grower, 193 acres, born Smithfield, October 9, 1814; wife, Catharine Cameron, born Fenner, February 20, 1817, married February 4, 1841.  Father, Salvin Howard from MA, settled 1803.  Mother, Polly Austin, born RI, settled with her parents in 1801.

Huyck, Phillip J., PO Perryville, farmer and grain grower, 70 acres, born Kinderhook, Columbia County, October 21, 1825, settled 1834; has been assessor and member of auditing board; wife, Luzetta A. Robinson, born Fenner, December 16, 1831, married December 30, 1852, children 3, living 2; Mrs. L. Tooke and Willis Huyck settled in Fenner from Lenox (Madison County), 1854.

Hyatt, Francis Austin, PO Perryville, farmer, 105 acres, born Ridgefield, CT, settled October 1832, has been town clerk, justice peace, member of assembly 1861 and 1872; 1st wife, Martha Elizabeth Robinson, married October 22, 1850, died March 20, 1869; 2d wife Mary Elizabeth Benedict, born Sherburne, Chenango County, married June 26, 1878; children 3.

Hyatt, Smith K., PO Fenner, farmer, 180 acres, born Ridgefield, CT, settled 1827, has been assessor, wife Clarinda Woodworth, born Fenner, married September 11, 1849; children 6.

Keeler, Charles F., PO Chittenango Falls, 358 acres, born Truxton, Cortland County, June 23, 1824, settled 1850, has been commissioner of highways; wife, Polly Twogood, born Fenner, married December 25, 1850; children 4.  Is manufacturer of marl lime, water-lime and plaster, has large dairy interests, grower of Jersey and Durham stock and sheep, has owned gristmill since 1874.

May, Rufus, PO Cazenovia, farmer and mechanic, 80 acres, born Holland, Hampden County, MA, February 2, 1800, settled 1808, has been inspector of schools and highway commissioner; wife, Electa M. Edson, born Augusta, Oneida County, February 3, 1819, married September 22, 1833; 15 children, 11 living.  Three sons, William H., Rufus L., and Richard M., were in the rebellion.  Parents, Rufus May and Eunice Wales came from Holland, MA in 1808.

Roberts, DeWitt C., PO Peterboro, farmer and dairyman, 150 acres, born Fenner, June 8, 1842.  Lucy L. Smith and Lorain A. Roberts are daughters of Hiram Roberts.

Roberts, Hiram, farmer and hop grower, 75 acres, born Fenner, August 1798, has been poor master; wife, Thankful Humphrey, born MA, April 13, 1797, married February 8, 1825; children 7.  Father, Amasa Roberts, born Bristol, CT 1758, settled 1793.

Wilson, John, PO Fenner, farmer, 50 acres, born Utica (Oneida County), settled 1817, has been supervisor and justice of peace; wife, Jane A. Hyatt, born Ridgefield, CT, married June 5, 1845.

White, George W., PO Cazenovia, farmer, 38 acres, born Cazenovia, January 19, 1813; wife, Phebe A. Fitts, born Huntington, CT, Sept. 5, 1818, married May 12, 1841; 7 children, 4 living.  Father, Joel White, settled in Cazenovia about 1799, from Hebron, CT.  Son, Sylvester J., killed battle of Winchester, VA, Sept.19, 1864.  Sons living are Perry W., John F., Charles E. and G. Newton.

Woodworth, George, PO Perryville, farmer, auctioneer and produce buyer, 140 acres, born Smithfield, August 15, 1804, has been sheriff and justice of peace; wife, Delia Baldwin, born Smithfield, married March 22, 1827; children 9.
